Uma Singh
Uma's journey began in the rural heartland of India. She later moved to IIT Kanpur where her husband was studying. Life further took her to Faridabad (Haryana), Ranchi (Jharkhand), Chandrapur (Maharashtra), Bhadravati (Karnataka), and finally led her back to the heartland - Sitapur (UP), where she is now settled.
A dedicated homemaker, and mother of three, Uma continued the process of learning. Being a voracious reader, intelligent, and aware, she works toward minimizing her carbon footprints and advocates the same in her networks. With a progressive and cosmopolitan view, along with an altruistic heart firmly rooted in her heartland, Uma envisioned the need for an organization that would work toward the upliftment of oft-neglected rural areas in India. Thus she encouraged her daughter Manvi to establish Blue Parijaat Foundation and gave it her wholehearted support.
